What is NIE?

Newspaper in Education or NIE is designed to introduce students of all ages to the benefits of daily reading.

Effective on-going use of the newspapers in the classroom:

- Helps students gain the listening, speaking, reading and critical-thinking skills necessary for success in society.
- Will encourage youths to become successful lifelong learners and more informed consumers and citizens.
- Gives students access to printed information that is updated daily.
- Promotes awareness of the world around them.
